The Tournament
The Venezuelan International Super Slam is a 2-day all-release team event under IGFA rules and guidelines, in which all points accumulated on one boat throughout the competition determine the overall winners. Teams may be comprised of up to four (4) anglers - minimum of one (1) angler per team. There will be one team per boat accompanied by a different official tournament observer each day of fishing.  This year it will be the first of the two legs of the first leg of the Venezuelan International Billfish Championship.

Visitor's Entry Fees
The basic entry fee covers participation in the Tournament and all tournament functions. It does not cover hotel, charter boat, or airline expenses. The 2009 Entry fees are: $1,500 for a team of 2 anglers - $1,850 for a team of 3 anglers and $2,150 for a team of 4. Non-angler fee for guest is $180. This fee entitles the non-angler to attend all social functions during the event (if you’re not sure whether or not your guests plan to attend all activities, individual tickets will be sold at the door at each function). For on line registration CLICK HERE
Hotel Package
In addition to the registration fees, a hotel package is available to tournament anglers and their companions which includes, airport reception and round trip airport/hotel transfers, plus Four (3) NIGHTS at the hotel of your choice. Accommodations will be available at the Olé Caribe Hotel, Playa Grande Caribe Hotel & Marina, Mango Marina, Calypso Fisherman’s Lodge, Portofino Marina and Marriott Playa Grande Hotel. Ask us about package and Special Airfares from your hometown to Venezuela so we may point you in the right direction.
Boats
Unless you're among those bringing their boats to La Guaira for the event or for the season (many anglers from the U.S. and the Caribbean do so), you will also need to charter a boat for the three (3) days of competition. There are top quality boats available in Venezuela for the tournament.  For those bringing your boats, there is a limited number of slips available at local marinas for the week of the tournament and these will be offered on a first come first served basis.
