| OUR BEST DIAGNOSIS IS HOPE ….! The Friends of Children with Cancer Foundation is a not for profit organization with 24 years of activity to benefit boys, girls and adolescents with cancer between 0 to 18 years of age referred by different hospitals throughout Venezuela providing the necessary means for the diagnosis and treatment of their illness. Our support is translated into: Providing antineoplasic medication for chemotherapy, special exams (MRI’s, tomography, Gamma grams, X-Rays, Lab work etc), prostheses, lodging and adequate nourishment at our lodge “Mi Casita” for patients from the interior of the country, transportation to hospitals and to their homes, educational – recreational – formative and social activities, psychological support including family, and nutritional support among other things. In 2005 we received recognition of our arduous work; the Prize to Excellence was awarded to us by Venezuela Competitiva. This was made possible thanks to the support of numerous donors, friends, allies and volunteers, whom, without their valuable contribution, it would be impossible to meet our objectives. 538 children were attended to, which represents a 23% increase from 2004. In 2007 we received 800 patients from different parts of the country among which there were 352 new cases. All help is welcome, there are many children waiting . . . We count on everyone . . .
